Position: LMS Discussion Forum Moderator/ Community Manager
Time Commitment: 2hrs/week max., but regular quick check-ins preferred
Mandatory skills needed:
The ability to be neutral and unbiased, organized, and objective.
The ability to motivate and maintain communities online.
Knowledge of the new Roller Derby Certification Program for Officials Process.
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with the LMS is helpful, but not necessary.
Familiarity with general forum moderation on any platform nice to have.
Familiarity with managing online communities is a plus.
General Responsibilities:
Observing the LMS discussion forum and helping learners with their questions on the LMS, online learning and classes or directing them to the Certification committee.
Creating a longterm plan and concept for LMS moderation and management.
Working closely with the Chair, LMS Admin and Education Programs Manager on all questions regarding the LMS and Online Learning & Testing.
Working with the Certification committee on all questions regarding Certification.
Working with the Officiating Education committee on all questions regarding the classes.
Specific Responsibilities:
Cleaning out old posts, organizing threads etc.
Adding helpful posts with links to current info, updating learners on new courses.
Deleting posts that do not abide by the Online Learning Honor Code.
