Position: Code Chair
Reports to: Tech Officer
Pillar: Games
Time Commitment: ~20 hours (per month); Active online presence
Mandatory skills needed:
- Programming skills required (e.g. PHP, Python, Ruby, etc.).
- Experience with databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Current HTML and CSS proficiency and ability to build cross browser friendly applications/sites.
- Familiarity with version control (i.e. Git/GitHub).
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience managing a team, especially a distributed and/or volunteer team.
- Experience with scripting and automation.
- Any experience building mobile or mobile-friendly web applications or standalone mobile apps.
General Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of distributed, volunteer developers.
- Develop and maintain our various software applications.
- Advise on the architecture and design of custom applications and new features.
- Code Review of contributions both internal and external.
- Automate and manage web applications.
